I’m a 90’s baby and I am obsessed with the decade that I was born in. Specifically, the music and the fashion seem to inspire me every day. “Grunge” was initially coined to describe the stripped-down, raw subgenre of alternative rock originating from the Seattle area in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Not only did bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam release life-changing music, but they also inspired a specific fashion aesthetic of flannel, ripped jeans and an I-don’t-care attitude.

Of course, the grunge movement couldn’t be complete without a trusty pair of beat-up combat boots. Doc Martens, anyone? This footwear trend has resurfaced in recent years and is one of my favourite for fall/winter. They’re a more practical alternative to our beloved bootie for stomping around the city and rocking out.

Luckily, heel boy is stocked with a bunch of combat boots for me (and you!) to drool over. Some of my favourites are below:

Super versatile, combat boots can be dressed up or down and transition through all seasons. Stay cool and get yourself a pair today.
