Every woman has a love-hate relationship with their heels. You either don’t go a day without them or you stay clear of them, there is no in-between. If the thought of strapping on your heels for a long workday or night out causes dread, then maybe you just aren’t a heel person. And that’s completely okay! Heel Boy offers countless alternatives to heels so you can still look stylish without the discomfort.
Block heels are as sensible as they are chic. They're a great choice when you still want a little bit of height but don't want to sacrifice comfort. Steve Madden's Dylann is a classic two-strap design that is flattering on all feet and offers endless versatility. You can opt out of the 3" heel height with the 2" Irenee, which is just as gorgeous and sophisticated as its older sister.

Whether it's a day at the office, a night out, or a relaxing day at the beach, heels don't have to be a first choice. Flat shoes work for every occasion too! No one is going to show up to the beach in heels, not even at the Hamptons. Sandals were made for the beach! Easy enough to slip on and off without struggling with buckles to run into the waves or walk on the boardwalk. Also grocery shopping in heels does not sound like fun. Instead slip on a pair of sneakers to run errands but still look fashionable. Even when you're getting ready for a fun night out, heels are absolutely not necessary. Give your feet a break from the long work week and try our post 5 o'clock approved sandals, flats, and sneakers.
Becoming a Heel Person 101
If you're dead set on wearing shoes with some sort of height it is possible to work around a high heel. Our favourite is definitely kitten heels. Carrie Bradshaw's favourite footwear has been updated in various patterns, prints, and cuts to satisfy anyone's style. Plus the low to the ground fit is awesome for comfort.

And there's no rush to step out of your comfort zone! But once you're ready, take your time working up to stiletto pumps. Start off slow with low heels, like 1-inch mules and kitten heels. A smart strategy is to buy guarantee comfortable heels. We recommend TOMS or Camper as they're the holy grail of comfort. They both feature OrthoLite insoles that provide cushioning and moisture management for all day comfort. Also, if your heels hurt, wear them for only short periods of time. Practice walking around the house, and you can even wear socks to break them in. And remember it's always important to give your feet a break to recover before you wear heels again.
