If you're in Kingston and looking for a sweet treat, we highly recommend popping into Card's Bakery and Goods. They're a local, family owned shop who've been in the baking business for over 40 years now. Priding themselves on the traditional methods, they make everything from scratch and avoid additives preservatives so you know your sweet stuff is the good stuff.
Because they focus on fresh, many of the goods you'll find baked are seasonal. Considering Fall has begun, we recommend trying out they're ginger cookies! If that's not your speed, they've also got sugar cookies, pies, small tarts and delicious short breads. If you're not looking for something sweet, they've also got a full lunch menu stocked with soups, specialty sandwiches and wraps.
If you have your sights set on something bigger, Card's also cater's! You can get sandwich plates, dessert plates, breakfast plates or, if you're looking for something special, order a custom cake from their partner Cakes by Krista. Needless to say, they do it all!
If you're in the Toronto fashion district and are in need of a cupcake you HAVE to visit Dlish Cupcakes. A Queen St heel boy staff favourite, Dlish is known for their wide variety of cupcake, beautifully decorated with small garnishes or custom toppers.
They know how to perfect the basic and more complex flavours. If you're a fan of the simple things in life, they've got Banana, Chocolate, Lemon, Strawberry and more single flavours of cupcakes. If you like you're looking for a little more, there's always Chocolate Marshmallow, or maybe Vanilla Latte, or Dulche de Leche or Cookies and Cream? Honestly there's even more...
