Many of us have heard that suede is only acceptable to wear during the cold fall and winter months. However, this is as bizarre as the "rule" of not being allowed to wear white after Labour Day. Summer is the perfect opportunity to experiment with wearing suede shoes.
ESSENTIAL STYLES
Suede shoes are extremely easy to style! Dressing more casual becomes the norm in the hot summer months, and suede is the perfect element to elevate your outfit. Slip on a pair of suede mules or slides for a casual look with denim cut-offs or cropped jeans. They're comfortable enough to walk around the city or lounge at the park on a sunny day. Or just as easily, pair dainty two strap suede heels with a wrap dress or pleated midi skirt for the perfect summer event outfit.

POPS OF COLOUR
Summer suede also allows you to experiment with incorporating more colour into your wardrobe. The bright summer sun influences us to gravitate to more pastels, yellow, and lilac instead of browns, grey, and black. Add a pop of colour to any outfit with our favourite Shoe the Bear Yasmin slide in lilac.

CARE FOR YOUR SUEDE
As for maintaining your suede to perfection, it’s easier than you think! Despite suede’s bad rep of being too difficult to care for and prone to stains; suede just needs a little extra love. Be sure to spray your suede before wear with a stain and water-repellent protector, we recommend Walter's Weather Guard. Then to keep your suede looking brand new use Walter's Suede Renew spray and a suede brush to gently brush the material and restore nap. Our suede care kits make it super easy to keep your shoes looking fresh out of the box!
