Local Features: Whit Kingston & The Latest Scoop

Local Features

Kingston: Whit Kingston

Downtown Kingston is known for its quaint shops of food, clothing, and various services. What really brings the charm is the fact that most of these shops are run by locals often having built a name for themselves in the community. Whit Kingston is no exception providing the downtown area with current, trendy clothing for the last 25 years.

Knew faces might not be aware that Whit Kingston used to have a different name. Original founded as Blueprint, the shop owners decided it was time for a facelift, moving locations, changing names and undergoing major renovations to bring the new look to life. The shop is stunning to visit with the original brick walls, pressed tin ceilings and even a sign from the original home store the family used to run in the very same spot generations back.

The main focus of Whit Kingston is its amazing collection of clothing. There's a great mix of local brand owners from Kingston and surrounding area, as well as some well known favourites like Hershel, Levi's and Vero Mode. Everything you find is trendy and at the same time unique, making it feel like you've picked up a one-of-a-kind piece. Pop in and take a look. You will not be disappointed.

Queen: The Latest Scoop

You have a new pair of shoes from heel boy, but you're looking for just a little bit more. Just down the street from us on Queen Street West is cutest boutique, The Latest Scoop. As the name suggests, their stores feature some of the newest and trendiest items of the season.

Walking in, you immediately start thinking about how you can redecorate your home look like their store. While each location is unique with specifically curated items, they all share the same chic, bright, airy, and homey feeling. You'll see this immediately with they're mainly white walls and displays accented with wood details.

The best part is The Latest Scoop can almost be a one stop-shop. They sell everything from stationary to accessories to clothing to home goods. Like a Target, you might walk in looking to pick-up a cute card and end up leaving with a purse, pillow and a dress. How did this happen? We're not too sure but everything you picked up will be so cute you're not even mad.
