The 5 Boot Trends of Fall

We don't know about you, but we can't stop thinking (and looking) at boots. During our perusing, we noticed the same 5 boot trends popping up for fall 2021. Although brands are diverting from the classic Chelsea boot, there is still a focus on comfort. From durable chunky soles to sleek knee-high boots, these fall booties are the proper mix of practical and trendy.

A season staple? Yes. Knee-high boots have been a go-to for years for layering underskirts to provide warmth through the chiller fall/ winter months. This season, however, the tall boot has been taken to new heights. We're talking about sleek silhouettes that could rival your favourite stilettos, rich colour palettes and patterns to bold catwalk stomping platforms

We've already admitted to being giddy over the current giddy-up cowboy boots trend. While fun trends demand not to be taken seriously, we're taking to the streets to gain outfit inspiration to avoid looking like we're playing dress-up. Simple knits and jeans, structured trench coats, or even a pop of animal print is the outline we'll be following.

You may think you know the "it boot" of the season- durable, a little retro and EVERYWHERE. True, but combat boots are much more than traditional black utilitarian-inspired lace-ups. Re-imagined in soft colour palettes, exaggerated soles and textured materials this boot is all about combating the status quo.

This style is for the pointed-toe enthusiast who is looking to shake things up. Alternatively, if you are looking to invest in a well-crafted boot that you can wear season after season without worrying about rocking an outdated trend, this one's for you. Architectural details (like toe or heel shape) can modernize a boot in an otherwise classic silhouette or colour.

While this is a style of sole (not boot), the lug bottoms are having a big moment and deserve a shoutout. Lug soles stomped off the catwalk and onto the sidewalk and are now everywhere from Chelsea to knee-high boots. Our favourite ways to wear them are playing up the grunge vibe with an exaggerated all-black pair or contrasting it with unexpected delicate details
